Regardless of the rather rocky start in the northeast, spring really is here!  And before long, the temperatures will reflect the reality.  In the meantime, here are a few things you can do in anticipation.

• Bring lighter, brighter colors into your home through pillows, window treatments and slip covers.  Lighter colors and lighter fabrics help us all lighten up!

• Or try decorating with black and white - the 'in' look of spring.  Even black and white photographs add a wonderful touch.  Spend some time in nature while taking black and white photographs that are easily matted and framed - in, of course, black and white!

• Do some bold spring cleaning by throwing anything you find that isn't beautiful or useful.  The fresh, clean, decluttered look of only things you love will revitalize you and your home.

• Flea markets will be opening soon, so enjoy the sunshine and fresh air while making a few purchases.  Find items you can repurpose to bring excitement into your home.  Just don't begin to clutter again!

• And - need I say it again - candles in spring colors and scents!  Delightful!
